Vintage Daiwa Match Rod

I've just been up in the attic having a bit of a sort out of all my old tackle and beneath all the cobwebs

I came across an old favourite that hasn't been used for more years than i can remember!

It is a DaiwaWHISKER KEVLAR MATCH Harrier Match Super light WKM14CF14' (4.27m)

It's three pieces with full cork handle and spigot ferrules.

Does anyone remember these rods? Would it be worth putting it on Ebay,or shall I keep it for my grandchildren to sell as a true angling antique?

If it appeals to anyone feel free to make me an offer

River Thames

I am staying at Odney on Tuesday night and expect to be able to wangle a few hours fishing during Tuesday. Any local knowledge would be much appreciated. I have already spoken with the friendly tackle shop who suggested Cookham Weir. Has anyone fished the area recently or anyone fished within the Odney Estate. I guess I should expect some chub and maybe barbel action (I hope)

Milo Kompact help

Hi

I have a milo kompact and was looking at purchasing a footplate!

i dont know much about seatboxes but i do know that the kompact is smaller?

will a universal footplate fit the kompact or will i have to go to milo?

i have looked on the milo website but it doesent have a place to order, i have emailed them but does anyone know how i order from the main website?

im just wondering if anyone from around north wales are knows any decent fisheries? if you do do they hold matches regularly?

I have found quite a few but people seem to be talking about some that i have never heard of.

anyway these are the ones that i usually fish!

sarn mill - on the mold denbigh road

four oaks - on the a55 towards elsmere port

llyn helyg - lloc

Getting Pole Elasticated

Recently bought a Leeda Assassin 6m Margin Pole (£16 bargain!).

The elastic rating of the pole is 20 but I was thinking of putting on about 14 - how can I make this a happy medium for catching silvers along with the low double carp?

The other thing is having looked at the 'how to's' for elasticating a pole I'm kind of worried about going anywhere near it with a hacksaw!

How much should I expect to pay at a tackle shop for it to be elasticated excluding the cost of the bits needed?

Finally can anyone recommend which parts I should get - the jargon of hydro, pulla bung etc can be quite daunting!

pointers on carp rig

hi all
im a newby to this site and hope someone can give me a few pointers on a carp rig that has hair rig plus pop ups and a feeder without braids boilies or nuts as these items are not allowed on the lakes i like to fish and im a bit out of touch with the fishing scene
