HOUSE LAKE

Rating: Easy
Holds carp (common nearly 26lb), skimmer bream (over 5lb), tench (over 8lb). Busiest on balmy summer evenings and excellent during the winter when pole fishing with light tackle provides good results.

ROSIE’S LAKE
Rating: Easy
Our largest lake and holds a large head of tench, roach, perch, chub, crucian carp, rudd and bream. Perfect for both beginners and experienced anglers who like fishing the real old fashioned way!

THE SNAKE MATCH LAKE
Rating: Easy
The largest match lake in the UK - over 2 miles long and split into three match lakes with 205 pegs and a big reputation!

Available as an ‘Open’ venue, for day tickets and club bookings. Also available for hire by clubs and other organisations - please contact us for more information.

FIELD LAKE
Rating: Easy
Stocked with carp (up to 3lb) and tench (up to 1lb) - ideal for introducing young people to angling! On a good day using light tackle, ‘a fish a cast’ is the norm, whilst bigger carp (record 23lb 2oz) are usually taken on the top.

MIDDLE LAKE
Rating: Moderate
Arguably the best ‘all round’ lake, fishes well in summer and winter. Largest common carp (26lb 9oz). Bream and tench 9lb+ and perch 3lb 8oz, and a gudgeon (nearly 6in) was caught! Fishing from the far bank is not allowed.

KELL LAKE
Rating: Very Difficult
Provides the most double figure carp at Wylands - although surface fishing with biscuit is extremely difficult! Estimated to 40-50 double figure carp. The record is a 34lb 10oz mirror carp.

MAISIE’S LAKE
Rating: Easy
Recently opened fishing lake for rudd, roach, bream, perch, tench and carp to 12lb.

OLD SPECIMEN LAKE
Rating: Moderate
Small carp averaging up to 2lb (record nearly 25lb, bags of over 70lb a day). Tench, small carp, roach and rudd makes for extremely good winter fishing.

NEW SPECIMEN LAKE
Rating: Difficult
A large island ensures most pegs have unrestricted access to a far bank. Barbel (current record 14lb), carp (currently 32lb 7oz), good number of doubles and upper doubles and roach (2.5lb).

PLEASE NOTE:
Most of the lakes produce the occasional eel (largest 5lb 6oz) from Middle Lake), but there are no pike in the waters.

Barbless hooks and landing mats must be used at all times.

Bait Bans: No peanuts or tiger nuts please.

Swim Stim Koi Pellets and Groundbait are allowed.
