Venue it ok lovely surrounding but as for fishing it's not a venue I would return to week in week out. I have seen carp come out and some big bream, you could stay there all day and not even get a bite. If your fishing for carp, fish at the closest end to the cafe.
Great place to fish and take the kids. Large fields on one side, river on the other side. Swing parks are on the other lake (non fishing lake). The pet carp live near the cafe and guess what, you can't fish the very end swims. Good fishing all round and we always see fish coming out (not always on our rods though). Happy fishing and take lots of pound coins for day tickets and car parking machines.
Love this venue , by no means the easiest place to fish , very easy to spend the day and blank but some very good mid 20's carp and nice bream with the river lea backing on to one side with a very short stip for day ticket just wish they would open more of the river for day ticket
Great venue ,,, tickets can be bought by the bank from the Baliff if you don't fancy using the machine ,,, average depth about 5/ 6 ft ,,, the day is usually quite as far as fishing goes but at night the place comes alive ,, most baits work well here .
There is a stretch of the river lee next to it as well had some nice chub to 5lbs and barbel to 8 lbs and a few carp to 14lbs but there are bigger in it ,,
