I had a look around these ponds yesterday and the place is literally teeming with fish. There were lots of small rudd swimming around in shoals and a fair few carp milling about at the surface, some looking 10lb+. The ponds themselves are tucked away in a very quiet area and looked like a perfect place for a relaxing day on the bank. I will definitely be coming back sometime soon with my gear and giving them a go.

I had a really good day fishing here today. The weather wasn't the best, but that didn't stop the fish from feeding. I had to change to a heavier line after losing 3 carp early on and ended up catching a 4lb 12oz common and a 6lb mirror afterwards on my float rod using sweet corn. I also had several bream around 2lb each and loads of nice sized roach. Overall it was an excellent day and I would recommend this venue.

I see ppl don't give a shit about they fish not careing if ppl don't use a unhooking matt at all

Tips

Johnny Sunshine

It's not really worth trying to fish with maggots here, there are far too many small rudd at the surface. I had a lot of success after swapping over to sweet corn.
