Great place to fish ! I tend to venture all over sandford mainly fishing the little weir in summer months and the big weir as the season gets on. Some real big pike there as are the perch. Big chub on the stream, and for all the match men, it's a real good stretch with some big mixed bags from silvers, bream, tench and even the odd carp or two. In winter, you can buy a day pass from the lock keeper to fish the actual lock !! As hardly any boats are about it's nice.
