Clawford Vineyard & Fisheries,

Clawford is set in a private 78 acre estate with vineyards, orchards, woods, pasture and over 48 acres of fishing lakes. Residents can fish all Seventeen lakes, containing over thirty-four species and sub-species of freshwater fish. Fishing is free for residents. An on-site bait shop which stocks an excellent variety of bait and some items of tackle.
Major John's Lake
Major John's Lake covers about +4.5 acres.
The North bank of the lake is lined with mature broad leaved trees with the south bank having a back drop of an 8 acre cider apple orchard.
The lake has been designed to accommodate eight, double swims.
Tanner's Lake is about 4.25 acres with three islands and two large sunken islands.
The lake ranges from 3 to 12 feet with many underwater features including gravelled areas, shelves, holes and trenches.
Tanners lake has a lot of purpose built swims covering the whole lake.
This lake is situated on the Western boundary of the Clawford Complex.
It extends to over 4 acres and holds over fifteen hundred King Carp.
This Lake has three crescent shaped islands with many, many underwater features.
The Predator Lake
The Predator Lake is situated above Clawford Lake and extends to 5 acres.
This is the longest and most Westerly Lake on the Clawford Complex.
It has breathtaking views over the Claw Valley.
With a back drop of a 10 acre meadow.
This lake extends to 0.75 acre and hold's King Carp from our Specimen and Premier Carp lakes between 1/2 to 7 lbs.
Pinney's Lake has no islands and ranges from 2.5 to 11 feet deep.
This mature 3.5 acre lake is one of most popular lakes at Clawford.
Fletchers Lake is situated only 40 yards in front of the accommodation and breakfast area and is only 8 yards from the disabled self catering unit.
The lake can be seen from the beer garden and Patio Area.
This lake is the closest to the main car park.
Edward's Lake is a 3.75 acre lake tucked away to the East of Clawford Visitor's Centre behind Fletchers Lake.
The lake ranges from 3 to 12 feet deep with three islands with a lot of interesting underwater features.
This lake contains Ghost Carp and most species of fish found in Wanda's and Fletchers Lake.
This lake extends to over 2.5 acres and hold's a diverse mixture of coarse fish. The highest lake on the complex.
Emery's Lake has one island and two sunken islands with two deep trenches and ranges from 2.5 to 12 feet deep.
This lake nestles in he crescent of a six acres of broad leafed, wood and is well sheltered from the prevailing westerly and South Westerly winds and enjoys fantastic views across the Claw Valley.
This pretty +3 acre lake is situated in front of Clawford Visitors Centre to the Southwest and can be readily seen from the restaurant and accommodation.
The lake has eight double purpose built swims to the North and East banks, and a large, purpose built swim for disabled anglers on the South Bank.
The banks are planted with reeds and bulrushes to provide cover and a wildlife habitat.
This extremely popular little lake is only 120 ft. from the accommodation.
The South Bank of this lake borders on the North Bank of Wanda's Lake while the North Bank borders Edward's Lake.
The West and East banks of Gregory's Lake are well protected by mature trees and shrubs.
Julie's Lake is a half of an acre lake situated below Emeries Lake and next to Pinney's Lake.
This lake has no islands but is well planted with reeds and rushes for cover. It ranges from 1 to 8 feet deep.
J R's Lake is a lake 44 peg lake of 5 acres with three islands and is situated South West of the Complex.
It is extremely well stocked with every species of fish on the Clawford complex.
The lake shares it's South Bank with Tanners Lake.
The lake contains some interesting features and has large areas of Tree's and reeds for cover.
Rowe's Lake is a 48 peg lake of over 4 acres and is situated East of the Pole Fishing Lakes.
It is extremely well stocked with every species of fish on the Clawford complex including Carp, Chub, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Orfe and Tench.
Car parking is provided at the Pole Fishing Lake 1.
PF Lake 1
The 'Pole Fishing Lake 1' is about 1 acre, situated to the East at the rear of the self catering units off the main car park.
This is one of the several 'Easy Access' lakes. Disabled access is easy with parking facilities at the bottom of the westerly bank.
The lake is 7 feet deep with a single island and has been designed with Pole fishermen in mind.
A single island is running the full length of the lake at a distance of about 16 m from the banks.
The lake contains Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd & a good selection of Clawford's silver fish.
This lake was stocked with 280 hard fighting Clawford carp in April 2008 from our stock lakes.
PF Lake 2
The 'Pole Fishing Lake 2' is slightly smaller than it's sister lake at about 3/4 acre, and is situated next to the Pole Fishing Lake 1 to the East.
This lake is another 'Easy Access' lake, with easy disabled access, with parking facilities at the bottom of the westerly bank on the PF Lake 1 lake.
The lake is 6.5 feet deep with a single island & has been designed with Pole fishermen in mind.
The island running the full length of the lake 12 m from the pegs.
The lake contains Carp, Chub, Bream, Orfe, Rudd & a good selection of Clawford's silver fish.
This lake was stocked with 200 hard fighting Clawford carp in April 2008 from our stock lakes.
Clawfords also has Barbel, Pike, Zander and Catfish.
