Hemlington Lake is a nine acre man made lake, on the outskirts of Middlesbrough. Situated approximately 5 miles from the town centre and close to both the A19 and the A174 parkway.
The lake is set in approximately 39 acres of parkland and open space, as part of the Hemlington Lake and Recreation Centre site.
The lake is surrounded by a network of footpaths so access to the lakeside is excellent. Parking is available at both Hemlington Hall Farm and the Recreation Centre.
Fishing is from Dawn till Dusk all year round with angling from Platforms only, (the only exception is the beach area to the North side of the lake.) Day tickets are purchased on the bankside from a member of staff on patrol. Staff at the centre will transport equipment from the car-parks to the lake for disabled anglers by prior arrangement.
At present it is £3.00 per adult and £1.50 per child under 16.
