Details

Pleasure Lake
The largest of the three coarse lakes, and the first one we established. The lake is around 2 acres, with an island, reed and lily beds. Although the lake is man made the margins are well grown and offer good fishing. It is well stocked with a variety of fish.

Carp; mirror and common to 14 lb
Tench; green and gold to 5 lb
Chub to 4 lb
Bream to 1½ lb
Rudd to 1½ lb
Roach to 1 lb

There are 28 well spaced out pegs, and the depth of the lake varies from 4.6 to 6 feet.

It fishes well in the margins, or up against the island. Best baits to use are maggots, pellets, corn and meat. Bread and dog biscuits on top work well on a warm summer's evening.

Tickets available on the bank or at the cabin. Lakeside parking for disabled anglers. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the Pleasure Lake.

Family Lake
Family Lake is ideal for families, beginners and children. Well stocked with our own bred rudd, roach, bream, carp and tench.

The lake is 4½ feet deep, has seven large, well spaced pegs, and there are picnic tables located round the lake. It is set well away from the other lakes next to the onsite cabin - where staff will be on hand to help you if you’re new to fishing.

The simple pricing structure is only £5.50 per person (age 5 and under free with a paying adult), which includes tackle hire and small pot of bait.

Carp Lake
This lake is a little over an acre in size with depths varying from 3' to 6' and is well coloured. It is spring fed and has plenty of features including three small islands. The margins are well grown and some reed and lily beds offer a good challenge to the carp angler.

There are 6 well spaced pegs and all can now take double bivvies.Booking is advisable during the summer months. All 6 pegs are a short walk from the car park, but there is lakeside parking for the disabled angler.

The lake is well stocked with common and mirror carp from 5 lb to 25lb +. The average fish is 14 lb. The lake record is 25½ lb.

We only allow experienced fishermen to fish this lake, and don’t hire tackle for it. Anglers must bring their own gear, suitable for handling large fish.

Tickets available from the cabin or if no-one is onsite, telephone 07759 871327 or 07753 818414.

How's it fishing this spring?

Tips

jimrow123

Simple 18mm boilie rig and pva bag of crushed boilie and pellet worked for me.

jimrow123

Bread popped up a foot or so off the bottom does well for carp and tench.

jimrow123

The tench love the lobworms!
