The fishing lakes are open from 7am each morning until dusk. Resident campers and members may begin fishing at 6am during the summer months when the mornings are lighter. Day tickets can be obtained from the chalet or the bailiff who will make several visits during the day. The fishery rules can be viewed on the large notice board in the car park, on the web site and also on the back of all fishing permits.

In the small pond we have carp to to 24lb, roach, tench, rudd, chub, perch and crucians. In the big pond we have carp to 34.5 lb, perch to 4 lb, chub to 6lb, bream to 7lb, roach to 2lb and pike to 15lb. The small pond is ‘easier’ to fish, most of the time, and is very popular with younger anglers. Our new 3.5-acre landscaped match lake provides prolific fishing with barbell, chub, carp, crucians, tench and roach. Primarily designed for the match fisherman but provides great sport for the day ticket fisherman too. Please check availability with the bailiff first.

Anyone wishing to fish after dusk, will need to become a member of Sumners Ponds – please ask for details. Younger children must be supervised. If you wish to leave your child unattended you will need to inform reception or the bailiff who will take a telephone contact number where we can reach a parent at all times in the event of an emergency or misbehaviour. Please note that we care for the well being of our valuable fish stocks and you must be sure to have read the rules and have the correct equipment. Our staff are happy to advise you and most experienced fishermen are happy to give advice.

Deffo going back fished the small lake had 4 nice fish out can't wait to try all the other lakes .

Great place, only fished the small lake, and its very lively!!!

on the match lake amd small lake you cant go wrong with any bait really, dog biscuit in the summer months produce some nice fish! big lake i onli ever use tutti fruity and peach and mango boilies and catch every time, i dont chuck loads of bait in either, one hook bait and a few free boilies on pva string seems to be very effective!! :)

On the farm lake use pellets in the margins and you can't go wrong

On the small lake fish meat over pellet and hemp close in for a nice mixed beg
