Evesbatch Fishery

After the recent snows I was reluctant to go to Evesbatch Fishery but I set out on a frosty morning to see what would happen.

I was rewarded by a perfect days fishing where it was a bite a cast all day.

Weston Pools

It's an hour from my house to Weston Pools so I was out of the door at 6:30. There wasn't anyone around when I got there so I had a good look around. You can see that Mike has done a huge amount of work on this fishery.

There are 4 pools and a stock pond: Belvidere, Stretton, The Canal and the Wilfred Owen. I chose the Wilfred Owen because the wind was still howling and I wanted to use my new pole at length.
