Have you ever had to produce your Licence ever?
The poll is quite simple. For those only please that have fished for more than 5 years how many times have you been asked to produce your licence?

In 20 years for me...Once!

a rock and a hard place
Hi all,

Ok so the weather has offically started to freeze parts of the country and now I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I go out fishing to get out the house and to relax be it walking down the canal for a few hours or a bit further a field. but now that my misses is 27 weeks pregnant with our second child and wants me to be there more and I do want to but after spending a full week in work and then home tidying up cooking tea and bathing my first kid i just want to get out and about for 1 day a week. hopefully you all know what I mean and feel its not that i dont want to be at home but i want to have a few hours to myself to "relax" so to say without the constat nag nag nag and crying from the house.

can anybody recomend a good place to go fishing around the north west/ north liverpool area over the next few weeks ? Preferably for preds and if anybody can tell me if there are any decent pike or perch in the liverpool council waters ?

hope this doent look cold hearted but I need that one day to clear my head as still suffering with PSTD from last year and the time "off" so to say clears my head and my mind off it all

thanks for reading all and look forward to your posts

Tight lines

Adam

Rods...Have they improved?
The general consensus when I mentioned reels especially shimano was in General they have become a poorer quality. Moving on to Rods do we feel the same?
I always thought that Specialist carp rods had little difference in action so I felt you paid for the name. But with Quiver tips and float rods in basic much smaller TC’s and the blanks there was quite a bit of difference in quality.
I started off with a fibreglass rod but we can’t compare them so moving on a few years I thought my first specialist rods were the Shimano powerloops. At the time they were a middle of the range cost rod. Then out came the hyperloop which was said to be the better rod.
I now looked for a Powerloop recently as I seem to building my tackle on what I had 16 years a go. I have just purchased a couple of diawa black widows on a 3lb TC. I have not tried them yet but to me the price was reasonable. I see the odd Hyperloop which was the nuts back then going cheap. How have or have they improved? I can’t see how they would have improved because I can’t see what they could improve on.

Some Nice Fishing Photos
I'm running a slightly different photo competition on Facebook right now, the main difference being that no fish are allowed!

If you're viewing through a browser, try this link (it won't work on mobile apps):

I'm really pleased with the results so far. smile.gif
