A deep set four acre Gravel pit , it fishes well all year round, due to the protection from the weather afforded by its steep banks. Containing an impressive stock of fish for a small water Stockley produced its first forty plus when sought after Mirror ‘Gertie’ was banked at 41lb 4oz in December 2006.

River Colne will provide mixed bags containing roach, dace, bleak, perch and chub. Stretching from the Tiger Cubs Indian restaurant on the Oxford Road just outside Uxbridge Town Centre to the weir at the bridge over the A40 Western Avenue, Boyer Leisure’s section of the River Colne provides over a quarter of a mile of single bank fishing. Producing some decent bags to anglers who get it right on the day the Colne has seen bream to 5lb and the odd tench to 4lb.

River Thames Taplow starting from just below Bray Lock and stretched upriver for ¾ of a mile the Thames at Taplow produces just about everything. Mixed bags of roach, dace, perch and chub have been reported – some of the Perch reaching a few pounds. Anglers fishing near to the lock have observed fair numbers of carp during the summer months – the floods during the last couple of seasons have likely benefited the Thames and many other rivers throughout the country.
