Acorn Carp Fishery	Acorn Carp Fishery officially opened June 2001. The carp lake is approximately 3.5 acres. There are some 550 Carp currently in our lake. Around 300 doubles, 200 mid doubles, 30 high doubles, and the remainder 20s up to 30lb at the moment. The lake is usually netted each year and all the small carp are collected and stocked into the smaller stock pond.

Hunstrete Lakes Bath, Somerset	Superb fishing, beautiful background and peaceful surroundings with three lakes at Hunstrete; close to Bristol, Bath and Keynsham. The two newest lakes – Withy and Bridge Pools – were established with the help of a substantial Lottery Grant and, thanks to the magnificent efforts of a hard-core of club members – they both have a natural appearance and have a reputation for some of the best fishing in the area. Over 2000 trees were planted on the slopes overlooking the lakes adding to the overall effect.

The Sedges River Lane Dunwear Bridgwater Somerset TA7 0AA	We are a family run three-lake fishery with nine static holiday caravans to the east of Bridgwater. The lakes all contain a good mixture of carp and silvers. Carp up to 20lb, bream and tench up to 5lb, roach, rudd and perch up to 1lb. Pellet and paste work well in the summer on all three lakes. Winter fishing is also good (50lb plus bags are common) providing you scale down the tackle and bait size. Worm, maggot sweetcorn and soft pellet are working well.

Chard Reservoir Chard, Somerset	Chard Reservoir is 48 acres of open water. It is popular venue for Match Anglers, Carp Anglers, Ornithologist and Walkers alike. Carp (to 33lb), Bream (to 7lb), Tench and Roach dominate this water. There is a circular walk through the woods and around the Reservoir with a high percentage of the pathways accessible to the less able visitor. Chard and District Angling Club in conjunction with South Somerset District Council control the waters.

Cheddar Reservoir Cheddar, Somerset	Cheddar Reservoir holds some really big fish. Tench average 6lb recent reports of double figures, up to 30lb pike, up to 2lb plus perch and shoals and shoals of quality roach. This water is very clear, so the best way to get among the lumps is long cast straight lead or feeder. Top baits for tench are corn, worm and luncheon meat. For the perch worms and maggots and maggots for the roach. There are brick towers coming out of the water about 50 yards from the bank and these seem to attract the perch, a line cast next to them usually gives good sport with these great fighting fish.

Pawlett Ponds Pawlett, Nr Bridgwater Sat Nav TA6 4SE	From Highbridge take the A38 south towards Bridgwater for 4 miles and turn right into Pawlett Village. Follow Manor Road to the next junction, turn right, then immediately left to the next crossroads. Proceed over the crossroads into River Road and follow this to the end where a gate crosses the lane. Go through the gate and follow the track on the left to the lakeside car park.

The River Isle - Ilminster, near Chard Ilminster, Somerset	Chard and District Angling Club hold the rights to fish a quarter of a mile stretch of the River Isle. Parking is available next to the bridge adjacent to Powermatic Limited. Follow the public footpath sign which will take you along the river up to the double spanned road bridge which marks the end of the C and DACs stretch of the river. Sections of the river vary in depth, width and flow. Chub, Roach, Rudd and Grayling are plentiful in these waters.
